Despite Long Beach’s cannabis usage rates and cannabis equity programs (initiatives that supposed to help mitigate the effects of racist practices deployed in the War on Drugs), the area struggles to make an impact in the cannabis industry.
However, Edgar Cruz and Brandon Bolton are leading change by soliciting support and pushing the development of new policies that can help minority applicants, like themselves, get a strong entrance in the legal cannabis industry.
They are also "establishing an academy for aspiring business owners to gain support and knowledge."
“We’re doing this for our people,” Edgar Cruz said and all I wanted to reply is Men, I am with you! Let's light it up and hit some clouds for these two men that are determined to change the industry for the better.
