How to set dab pen SLASH's temperature to get the best taste and effects.
That moment when the terps kick in and the clouds overflow your face, it’s when you know you did it right! Little did I know that the correct temperature in dab pens wasn't a thing for some of my pals.
The other night while sharing a flight, my friend was all over the place, saying the clouds were inconsistent.
- Dude, I replied, did you set the temperature right?
The best part of his answer was his 🙄 face. LOL.
Now, I am on a quest to share why temperature matters on concentrate vape pens.
The beauty of vaporizer technology is that it allows cannabis lovers to vape at a range of temperatures. This not only avoids the coughing fit—for those who don't enjoy it, but will enable you to control how hard or smooth is every single hit.
If we invest a significant amount of money in high-quality concentrates, the minimum thing we can do it to set the proper temperature for that specific strain, so we can get the best taste and effects.
I don't want to get scientific here, but in simple words, every plant has different levels and types of cannabinoids and terpenes, when you play with the temperature on a wax pen, you can optimize the concentration of the molecules and get the best of each!
It's not a secret that depending on what you are doing or where you are; you choose how high or how fast you want to go. So, grab your vape pen and select the temperature, in the end, that's one of the reasons you bought this modern vaporization technology, right?
To show my commitment to my quest, I am going to share a few insights on how I use the temperature on my SLASH, and why.
If I want to get high fast and go big with the clouds, I set my weed vape pen to red high temperature. In a few seconds, I am surrounded by that dense white that also brings a fully vaporized concentrate and an intense high. I usually go with short hits because I'm not too fond of the coughing, but that is just me, so go hard and long if that’s your treat.
I go with SLASH’s blue setup of low temperature (THC starts to vaporize at 315°F, around 157°C) to get a mild, pleasant, and full of flavour high. Yeah, the clouds at this temperature are not that dense, but the taste is my goal here. Actually, sometimes when I want to get high fast, I prefer to have several long hits at this temperature and keep the terps intact. BTW, low temp is very recommended for new consumers or people who are very sensitive.
Now, if you are vaping CBD, the recommended temperature is between 320°F and 355°F (160-180°C). But that is another world, and I will talk about that in another post.
To sum things up, temperature matters! Get the heat right and get the hit high.
Stay high.
