The criminalization of marijuana financially burdens taxpayers with and endless prosecutions and incarcerations of low-level cannabis arrests. On the other hand, legalization creates jobs and opens a new avenue for taxes to come in and support the development of the different states and the country at large.

After marijuana was legalized by voters in November, Arizona dispensaries could start selling recreational cannabis by March. I read in Ktar.com that anyone 21 or older is now allowed to have up to 1 ounce of cannabis, and the 16% tax that will be charged for cannabis related transaction will fund community colleges, public safety, public health programs, roads, and highways –the good news are for stoners or not alike!
